Every year, students in high schools and
universities across India are awarded scholarships from the Ministry of
Education. Scholarship for university students in India can aid in their

There are several different kinds of scholarships on
offer in India. A few of the significant ones are -
Central Sector Fellowship
Program (CSSS)
Only college and university students are eligible
for this scholarship. This grant is open to deserving students who are
experiencing financial hardship. Under this scheme, annual scholarships might
vary from 10,000 to 20,000 Indian rupees. For this award, applications are
accepted each year from August through October. The National Scholarship Portal
must receive the application online.
National Merit Scholarship
Program
Students can register for the scholarship program by
going to scholarships.gov.in, the National Scholarship program's official
website. This grant is available to deserving students with financial
difficulties after the eighth grade. Each year, this scholarship is given to
one lakh students all around the nation. A student is permitted to make up to
12,000 rupees annually. Applications are taken from August through October each
year. A student must use the National Scholarship Portal to submit an online
application (NSP).
Pragati Scholarship from AICTE
Only female students (maximum of 2 per family) are
eligible for this government of India's scholarship. Each year, the government
grants 5000 such scholarships. Under this scheme, the beneficiary receives
50,000 rupees a year in addition to other benefits.
Applications for this program are accepted each year
from September through October. For online submissions, you must use the
National Scholarship Portal.
Saksham Scholarship from
AICTE
This scholarship program supports technical
education, especially for gifted children with disabilities. Highly qualified
students studying a technical degree or diploma program can take advantage of
this incentive. Under this scheme, each participant is given a scholarship
worth 50,000 rupees in addition to other perks. September through October are
when applications are accepted. Applications may be submitted online through
the National Scholarship Portal.
Prime Minister Research
Fellowship (PMRF)
To be eligible for this scholarship, students must
have earned a GATE score of 8.0 and be pursuing or must have already earned an
M. Tech/MS by Research degree at one of the PMRF Granting Institutes.
Students are given Prime Minister Research
Fellowships in order to further their field of study. Accordingly, PhD-level
research in the sciences, technologies, engineering, arts, and health care is
eligible for the PMRF program. The Science and Engineering Research Board
(SERB) and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) work together on this
program. This is advantageous to Ph.D. students who are registered at a
PMRF-eligible institution. With a sponsoring industry contributing the
remaining 50% over the course of four years, the PMRF initiative grants Ph.D.
candidates scholarships worth up to INR 10.92 lakhs annually.
