Rajashree Shahu Maharaj Gunavatta Scholarship

As per amended resolution dated 31st August 2009 the Government of Maharashtra has decided to give "Rajashree Shahu Maharaj Gunavatta Scholarship" to 100 deserving students belonging to Schedule castes to pursue their education in renowned institutions of the country. Applications are invited from SC students of Maharashtra for Shahu Maharaj scholarships for the academic year 2016-17. The student must have secured admission in the current year for the courses specified in the university.

This Rajashree Shahu Maharaj Gunavatta Scholarship for SC Students is managed by social Justice and special assistant department, directorate of social welfare department government of Maharashtra.

Eligibility

The applicant must satisfy following conditions in order to be eligible for Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj Scholarship.


1.Students must be studying in his first year of graduate/postgraduate course and have secured admission in reputed IIT, IIM, NIT, Agriculture and business school of the country. 
2.For graduate level scholarship 12th standard CET Marks will be considered.The student must have scored 55% marks at CET Exam.
3.For Post-graduate level scholarship, the student must have secured 50% marks at graduate level.
4.The student must be domiciled in  Maharashtra.
5.The student must belong to Scheduled Caste Category.
6.The annual income of parents of students from all sources should not exceed Rs. 4.50 lakhs.


Procedure

1.Students can download the application form for Rajarshi Shau Maharaj Scholarship  from the website of Maharashtra Government  www.maharashtra.gov.in  & Social Justice Department https://mahaeschol.maharashtra.gov.in or https://sjsa.maharashtra.gov.in2.The application form for Shau Maharaj Scholarship filled in all respects should be submitted on or before 31st August 2016 to the Directorate of Social welfare Maharashtra State, 3, Church road, Pune-411001.


Documents to be attached along with the application form:

  • Caste Certificate issued by competent authority
  • Annual income certificate issued by competent authority
  • Domicile certificate
  • Proof of having secured admission to the specified institution along with the details of fee structure adopted by the institution.
  • Xerox copies of Marksheets and certificates for passing the standard 12th and graduation examination.
  • Caste Verification certificate
  • Fee details of the whole year of concerned organisation.
